Houston, Texas. June 1, 2020 – Lawyers Nomaan Husain of Husain Law + Associates, Floyd Wisner of The Wisner Law Firm, and Omar Khawaja of The Law Offices of Omar Khawaja, internationally recognized aviation firms, have filed a federal wrongful death complaint against General Electric Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). The complaint was filed by Adil Rahman as the personal representative of his parents Fazal Rahmaan and Wahida Rahmaan who were passengers on Pakistan International Airlines 8303 (PIA) which crashed while attempting to land at Karachi International Airport on May 22, 2020.

Specifically, at the time of the crash, the pilot was attempting a go around after an unsuccessful landing attempt due to the landing gears not being deployed. It was during the go around that both engines failed causing the pilot to declare a Mayday and crash into a residential area just short of the runway.

The complaint alleges that GECAS negligently leased the Airbus A320 to PIA when it knew or should have known about PIA’s poor maintenance and safety record. Including the fact that PIA was banned from flying into the European Union for safety reasons.

The passengers, Mr. and Mrs. Rahmaan were traveling to Karachi to celebrate the Eid holiday with their family. They along with 96 other passengers and crew were killed.

Adil Rahmaan, stated, “……Nothing can bring my parents back to us but I am taking this first step for justice.”

Attorney Nomaan Husain stated, “Our goal with this lawsuit is to obtain answers for our grieving clients and hold those accountable for creating this tragedy.”

Attorney Floyd Wisner remarked, “Beyond providing answers to the grieving families, we want these lawsuits to re-assure safety of the millions of air travellers around the globe.”

The detailed complaint was filed on behalf of the bereaved family in the U.S. District Court in Connecticut against the GECAS, owner of the doomed Airbus A 320, based in Norwalk, for negligently leasing the aircraft to PIA.

Mr. Nomaan Husain, Mr. Floyd Wisner and Mr. Omar Khawaja are confident the US legal system and the US discovery process will allow families to get the answers they are seeking and sort out what really happened.
